Created in Cheshire by Sally Jones, the Silver Pink collection is the finest quality knitwear, shirts and accessories. Sallyโs journey began eight years ago, travelling the country as an interior designer, visiting beautiful country houses and meeting new people. She says; โThen one cardigan changed my life; its form and function, colours and how fantastic it made me feel.
โLooking back, Iโm not sure how the leap occurred. But visiting India, experiencing the vibrant colours and textiles alone made me come alive - That this is the direction for me thatโs meant to be. Silver Pink became more than just one cardigan, and more than just a cashmere knitwear company.
โThroughout my life, Iโve been inspired by the people Iโve met and places Iโve been, and Silver Pink has become a product of this inspiration. Iโve been surrounded by women like my mother and grandmothers who had an elegance that came easy to them, something I have admired and sought to achieve, and I know Iโm not alone.
โOne of my biggest inspirations has also been my customers - listening to their wants, needs, desires. To me, itโs always been about contact with my customer and how I can make their experience with my company fun and enjoyable. Life is challenging enough.โ
Effortless Elegance
โIโve created a capsule collection made of amazing colours that work together. Each piece of clothing doesnโt just work with one outfit but can fit in your wardrobe as the most versatile piece you own. We all have that favourite piece in our wardrobe. Something that you can chuck on and feel great, feel empowered, can boost your mood, and help your confidence shine. And this is something that Iโve wanted to achieve with my own collection. I want a woman to wear a piece of Silver Pink clothing and feel amazing. I call it Effortless Elegance.โ
Growing Silver Pink
โMy company has grown with a lot of care, passion, love and hard work, from a cashmere cardigan, to a range of jumpers, cardigans and tunics, to then introducing stunning new dresses in beautiful prints, which you can wear many different ways and dress up or down.
โSilver Pink was predominantly available at events all over the country, however Covid encouraged us to make the rapid progression to become a full online experience and now we plan to go back to more exclusive events, alongside web site sales, once events are up and running. Iโve even entered into the social foray and started videos to show you how to wear these versatile pieces.โ
Value and Provenance
Sally is concerned about ethical and sustainability issues and how clients wear her collections. Silver Pink is definitely not โfast fashionโ. Each piece is designed to be worn many times and present value for customers. She says
โOur clients are becoming much more concerned and aware about the clothes they wear, where they come from, the materials used and how they are made. I have been looking for another UK manufacturer who can create unique pieces with our own prints and designs for new dresses, skirts and shirts. I have found a wonderful non for profit company in London that has taken over the old Laura Ashley factories and is preserving skills in the UK. They have been amazing and along with our existing UK manufacturers we are able to produce even more in Britain.
โOur fabrics range from traceable sourced cashmere to blending cashmeres with UK wool yarns and cotton and viscose for shirts. The new UK partnership will enable silks and other natural fabrics. All our prints are unique to us which gives us an edge over other companies. They come from two very successful artists based in London and Hampshire, but Iโd like to feature more up-coming fabric designers.โ
Wolf and Badger
Silver Pink is featured on the Wolf and Badger website which curates independent clothing brands from across the World, with ethical standards including things like happy workers, low impact, even the use of non-toxic dyes. Sally says; โWeโre so lucky to be there! You have to be accepted onto Wolf and Badger so anyone on there has already been handpicked for their uniqueness and special qualities.โ
