Yves Salomon have released their Spring Summer 2022 Collection, offering elegant, joyful and natural designs. Rich in century-old historical know-how, Yves Salomon continues to distinguish itself through its innovation and daring creations.
For Spring Summer 2022, Yves Salomon has taken a cue from the simple, natural elegance of the women who embody American style. Names such as Lauren Hutton, Carolyn Bessette and Jerry Hall inspire the SS22 collection, offering a complete ready-to-wear wardrobe of impeccably cut silhouettes with subtle 1970โs and 1990โs touches throughout.
Using natural fabrics, ranging from light cotton to silk or leather, and an eclectic palette of neutrals and pastel shades of pink, yellow, blue and green with flashes of fuchsia, electric blue and citrus yellow, the collection focuses on pure lines and minimalist, utilitarian chic.
Knitwear is used throughout the collection and weaved into versatile tops, alongside ultra feminine, figure-hugging dresses with crossed over straps. Cotton is extra light, playful and cut into classic shirts, as well as belted dresses, trench coats and co-cord sets complete with Yves Salomonโs trademark jour รฉchelle finishing, a hemstitch-inspired leather detail. Silk is ethereal and used in classic bias-cut dresses, smock-inspired shirts and ample nap dresses.
Texture is the main focus in leather pieces. Ranging from timeless trench coats to a belted saharienne - inspired jackets and a classic perfecto, outerwear is structured. Including suede trench coats - one knee-length and fitted, one oversized and complete with patch pockets - are a knowing nod to the staples of 1970โs American fashion. Elsewhere, leather becomes delicate and almost linen-like to the touch in an oversized perfecto and a silver bomber jacket. It also proves an ideal material for shirts, shorts, dresses and jumpsuits.
Alongside the collection sits subtly disco-inspired pieces which provide the perfect finishing touch. A sequined top and shorts set is the ultimate sophisticated-yet-relaxed eveningwear; and feathered pieces offer a glam counterpoint to a particularly wearable collection.
